Stumble upon
When I (literally) stumbled upon this, I knew I just had to post it. The text is just so utterly striking and beautiful and true, I just had to share it! I think anyone can relate to this, it really made me feel something.
With some help I found out this text originates from the book: Looking for Alaska from the author John Green. I can't wait to read it now, haha.

Doodle time!
It was time for a new avatar and this time the theme was Portal! If you don't know what Portal is, then you're quite obviously not a gamer. Which isn't something bad by any means! Just means the drawings coming up won't make any sense to you:
You'd better protect your cake Robert, chocolate's my favourite.
Omnomnomnom
Aaand here's a doodle of a random happy girl I still had lying around somewhere.

It's-a MEE
I am done! Kind of.. I think..
Let's just say I have before I change my mind. It really does look like me though, in spirit and outwardly appearance and stuff. Yay for me!

Proof of life
This lazy blogger is lazy, but I'm still here! I haven't given up on this yet. So I thought I'd just show you guys some stuff I've been working on. Some of it is character design for my current school project and some is just for fun.
I'm currently working on an action/platformer game heavily influenced by "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" . I am, as the concept artist, in charge of developing a look for the characters.
These are small thumbnail sketches for one of the lead characters, it's a popular and efficient way for a concept artist to start with some little silhouettes. This is because if the silhouette is interesting, everything else will also be. You only worry about the shape and pose, and so it's a fast and nice way to start. This is my first try designing, it's one of our lead characters, Dr.Crumble.
Dr.Crumble is a young, genius inventor and he relies heavily upon his inventions while platforming. So I made him very tall and lean, physically not very impressive but with gimmicks and gadgets to help him along.
After that, I made a few more detailed sketches from the ones my team liked the most.
I had a lot of fun drawing this guy, and these are still the early sketches so there will be much more designing to do. YAY! After this one I'll go check with my teammates again, and make another bunch of sketches, each one will be slightly more detailed and stuff. After that I'll start to mess around with colour and then one of our main characters will be complete! Awesome.
I also made a little self portrait, once again for my Personal Developement Plan (school stuff) but really the main reason was just for fun and playing around with poses and stuff. It actually looks quite a lot like me, so I'm happy. Not done with this yet either, it needs more colour and depth! I do like where it's going though.

Oh and I've also made a new avatar for the sixthaxis (gaming forum, awesomeness), the one who can accurately guess which game I tried to cameo myself in gets free cookies or something.
It's not that impressive but I had fun and made it in 15 minutes so I'm happy
That's it, this was my proof I'm not slacking off or lying in a ditch somewhere, have a nice day and don't forget to take a moment and enjoy the sunset.

Life's a bitch and then you die
“ Ah but it is fair. Death is, and has always been, ultimate and undeniable in it's fairness. For it does not discriminate nor depend on skill. Death cannot be swayed by either charm or threats. Death takes us all eventually, the beautiful, the talented, the sorrowful and the sinners alike. In it's cold embrace, there is also always infinite elegance. A sense of grace.
In Death, everyone is finally equal. Nobody gets to truly choose their Death, and everybody gets to die eventually. That my friend, is fairness in it's finest hour.“

B-E-A-uuuuutiful
Oh wow, sometimes I just amaze myself. (please do click so you can actually read what it says)
You might wonder just what the fuck this is, and that's okay. I mean, it's not often you see something like this after all. I don't want to brag but I do think it's kind of special and unique and stuff. Erhem, so back on topic, I'll tell you what it is already, it's actually something I made for school
I study Gamedesign, and my school is kind of extra special, in the way that as a student you get to set you own path to study and develope yourself in the way you want to. I don't have a lot of lessons, and I don't have any exams either. What I do have is a four month project and an assesment at the end of term, which I'll have to ace if I want to get the credits I wanted. Anyway, it's a bit complicated and I'll never stop talking about this if I don't shut up now so I will! Shut up I mean, about school.
Go nerdy me yay.
Yes, well, let's move on.
This here above is something I made for my personal developement plan, in that thing I explain in which areas I want to be tested for my competence. But, I would not be me if I didn't make something extra cool and personal out of it! I thought it would be great fun if I made a character sheet of myself, since I study Gamedesign and all. This way, you can learn a whole lot about me in just one page! It shows my strengths and weaknesses, and also which skills I have learned and polished over the years. Ofcourse, it also shows off my personality and that's primarily why I've made it.
I've always hated making a personal developement plan when there's nothing actually personal about it. So, now I did it my own way. And I'm damn proud of myself, go me!
